Patent Clerk Program
At Hunton & Williams LLP, our patent law clerk program in our DC and McLean offices provides an excellent opportunity for evening law school students with technical backgrounds to develop patent prosecution and litigation skills. With competitive salary and benefits, our patent law clerks work closely with top-notch IP practitioners to receive invaluable IP experience that would not otherwise be provided until after law school. In addition, our patent clerks benefit from our commitment to fostering academic excellence and promoting professional development. Most of our patent law clerks have completed at least one year of law school and have several years of IP experience. Although not required, many also have worked as patent examiners at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Upon graduation from law school, most patent law clerks continue to build successful careers with the firm.
